My belief clashes with yours. I believe God exists. You don't believe that. I do everything to prove to you that He exists. You do everything to prove the opposite to me. Who is right?
Someone who believes in God will say that I am right. Someone who doesn't believe in God will say that you are right. Because your belief is different from mine, I see you as a "fool," thinking how stupid you are that you can't see what I see. The same applies to you. You also see me as a "fool" because I don't see as you do.
We can observe that because of one simple belief, a division occurs where I put you in a different category and no longer see you as my equal, as I might have seen you before. The same applies to you; you also put me in a different category. Two poles emerge and a fight of one against the other.
Whether God exists or not is just one simple belief. Beliefs are endless. And each time we identify with a particular belief, we create a new division.
In the cauldron of countless beliefs, there can be no peace. There are only divisions of me against you. There is no room for love here. For this is the foundation where wars and fights of one belief against another are born.
If there is division, then there is no love. Love knows no division. When we adopt any belief as our own, love slips away and we no longer see it, because soon we are caught in the fight. With belief, we have separated ourselves from others who do not hold the same belief. We invest energy in this belief that we have claimed as our own.
To be clear, love is not meant as being in love. These are two completely different concepts. Being in love is conditional and based on desire and thoughts that create and strengthen desire. Being in love comes and goes. Love knows no conditions and has neither beginning nor end. Love is closely connected with Oneness.
To return to our point, beliefs that we defend and advocate consume a lot of our energy and cause division within us and outside us. They help keep us in fear and in hell, where we are constantly fighting against others and where we do not see and perceive love. Love, which is the most authentic and fundamental state of existence and on which creation is built.
